Howard Schultz President 2020

VIDEO: Howard Schultz: I'll Defend American Dream, DEMS Go Nuts

Have you heard this story about Howard Shultz? The CEO of Starbucks, he's talking about running for president in 2020. He's had some interesting things to say. He's been a long-time democrat and guess who's freaking out about the things he's saying? Democrats. Go figure. He's a democrat, long time democrat but they don't like what he's saying. Guess how this story ends. Well it's not over yet but democrats are jumping all over him. He's creating quite a buzz that's for sure.

Howard Shultz the Starbucks CEO is talking about running for president. Here's the funny thing. He's been a big supporter of democrats and for some reason, democrats are going nuts about it! Not in a good way. Why is that?

Simple. They don't like his message. He's not sticking to the script. He's not following orders from the party master minds. He's messing up their whole message. He's destroying the democrat narrative that we need socialism and we need it now.

They don’t like that so what do they do? They start trashing him. He's saying some ridiculous things like democrats have gone too far left. That the democrat agenda is a fairy tale and that our biggest threat is the debt. He's talking about the American dream and fiscal responsibility. Is he a patriot, or another wolf in sheep's clothing?

Howard Shultz in an interesting guy. Self-made billionaire. He was the long running CEO of Starbucks came from a poor family in Brooklyn. Started in sales for a Swedish company selling coffee makers. Sold a bunch to Starbucks and he decided to find out more about it. Went to Seattle and started working for Starbucks. Left, started his own coffee shop. Ended up buying Starbucks early on for four million bucks. Imagine that. The rest is history. The guys made a name for himself, the American way. Some people don't respect that thought.

Elizabeth Warren says he's out of touch because he's a billionaire. He says he's an example of the American dream. That's quite a difference of opinion. She's not the only one criticizing him. Starbucks gave stores instructions how to handle questions from customers who might like his politics. Is he out of touch though? He couldn't answer how much a box of cheerios costs. How dare he. He must be out of touch!

Apparently, he's been considering running for president for months. Here's the problem he has with democrats. He's not running on an anti-Trump platform. He's running on an anti-socialism platform. Imagine that! Democrats say he's going to divide the party. Destroy their support and all he'll accomplish is getting Trump re-elected.

There's one other little thing Howard Shultz has been talking about. He's says the biggest threat to this country is the debt! That certainly causes a problem from democrats. They say the biggest threat to the country is Trump, climate change, guns and income inequality. Shultz isn't running on an anti-Trump platform and he calls the democrats unrealistic. He’s accusing democrats of making false promises. Ouch! What a buzz kill for the democrat vision of utopia.

Here's a guy, a smart, talented guy with incredible resources. He says he wants to run on a center, independent platform. Not party ideals. How's he do that in a country that's so polarized? It really speaks to how divided this country has become. This country, at least in recent times, has always been mostly moderate. Is that still the case? The media would have you believe we're completely polarized. One side, more government and socialism. The other side sick of government and corruption. Each hating the other. Hating. You see it every day.

I'll tell you he's saying some interesting things. He was on CNBC. Here's some of things he said.

"It concerns me that so many voices within the Democratic Party are going so far to the left. I say to myself, 'How are we going to pay for these things,' in terms of things like single payer (and) people espousing the fact that the government is going to give everyone a job."

I wonder how many democrats agree with him on that. He's using the term far left. Their socialists. They say it. The democrat party's been hijacked by socialists that have painted themselves democrats. He called them unrealistic.

He said, "I think we got to get away from these falsehoods and start talking about the truth and not false promises." That’s pretty much calling out liberals. He's saying their liars. Who would ever accused politicians of making promises just to give people what they want to hear? Then he lays out his most radical thought ever! This is just crazy.

He says, the greatest threat domestically to the country is "this $21 trillion debt hanging over the cloud of America and future generations. The only way we're going to get out of that is we've got to grow the economy, in my view, 4% or greater. And then we have to go after entitlements."

So how do democrats respond? Not by debating on the issues. They attack him. Like viscous piranhas. He's an evil billionaire. He's the enemy just for speaking such craziness like fiscal responsibility. Just horrible this guy.

This proves one thing, socialist democrats and those that do nothing to stop them hate America. How does a system of overspending work, can someone explain the logic of that? Forget about ideology a second. Half the people talking about this have no idea what socialism is or what the constitution says and why it's so important. They believe this fantasy nonsense and it sounds so good. Free this, free that like manna from heaven. Unicorns and puppies for everybody.

We’ll see if this takes off. We’ll see if moderate has a place in politics today. We’ll see if common sense and reason resonate with anybody anymore.
