I remember when the term whistleblower kind of came around. I don't remember exactly when it came around but I remember it. And the problem was that the public was outraged at government waste. So government workers were being encouraged to come forward, expose waste and fraud.
Now, fast forward to today. I think we kind of take for granted in some cases that government has been reformed to act with a certain level of integrity. But is that really the case?
One place where there are stories on top of stories of fraud, abuse and waste is the Veterans Administration. So my question for you is, should VA whistleblowers be protected from threats and harassment?
