The United States spends more than 3 times on military expense than the next closest country and as much as the next 19 countries combined. American military are deployed around the world and we even provide complete protection to countries like Japan. So the question is, why does America need to be the world's police force?
Maybe a better way to put it would be, if we don't do it who else will? The next biggest country in terms of military is China. Do we want China to be the world's political police force? But, what about Europe? What about some of our Asian and Middle Eastern partners? Why aren't they contributing more? Do we need such a big military and is it worth the expense?
