This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast:
The United States spends more on health care than any other country on the world. Why is the cost of health care so high in this country? Why aren't people screaming about it? Does it not dawn on anyone we're getting ripped off and why? We're getting ripped off with premiums then ripped off some more when we try to use the crappy insurance.
Healthcare spending is projected to hit $5.7 trillion by 2026. Barely 8 years from now that's one third of today's GDP. So health care will account for one third of all the money spent on all the goods and services in this country. That's insane. How long can that continue? And, who's footing the bill? The government pays for two thirds of all the health care premiums in this country.
All that still isn't enough to protect you personally. Going to the doctor or worse the ER is a major liability.
