This is the transcript of the introduction for this episode of the Christopher Scott Talk Show Podcast:

Back in 1804 the English journalist and member of Parliament William Cobbet sad, that nothing is so well calculated to produce a death-like state in the country as high taxes and a large national debt. Look at our society. If you wonder why we have all this fighting going on maybe it's because of an underlying problem.

Maybe it's the same with the country as it is with marriages. Financial stress. Not enough money. Too much debt and constant arguing.

What if corporations ran their finances like our government. Every business in the country would be out of business. Why have we come to expect this mis-management from government. I'm talking about lower taxes and no debt. Why don't we expect both.

Instead we argue over which one's worse. Why don't we demand lower taxes and a balanced budget?
