The only thing left to tax: CHURCHES

The founding fathers did not believe in, probably did not even think about religious freedom the way do today. What you believe about the separation of church and state is going to have a big impact on how you answer this question:
Should be churches be TAXED? We tax everything else but churches get a pass under the separation of church and state rule. About $120B a year is donated to churches. So what are we really talking about in terms of tax revenue? And, it's not just churches that get tax deductible donations. Every year in this country over $300B is given to charity. So even if all that was taxed what would it provide in terms of tax revenue? Even at 30% what are we talking about? $100B or so in taxes. Why's it even coming up as an issue? It can't be for the money grab it's just not worth that much money.
